In small discussion groups, participants will dive into a series of short discussions covering key considerations for PET adoption and implementation.

    ● Potential applications of PET technologies
    ● Overcoming consumer perceptions
    ● Which PET is right for you
    ● Gaining buy-in and securing budget
    ● What the investors are saying
    ● How are regulators lowering the barriers to adoption

What are the common compliance matters affecting PETs use cases (e.g. data localisation, consent obligations)? Are there ambiguities around conditions for compliance? How can use case owners and regulators work together to untangle these ambiguities?

Billions of people around the world rely on access to information through websites and mobile applications. We are building for a privacy-first future, one where people have transparency in their ability to keep their online information private, and at the same time ensuring we maintain the integrity of a free and open internet. This requires a very close collaboration between Governments, Industries and Digital Ecosystems.

The IMDA x Google: PETs x Privacy Sandbox initiative; we are helping companies migrate to this privacy-first world, by providing the education and tooling necessary to become privacy-ready. In this session we will provide the audience with an overview of this strategic programme, discuss key updates, and share recommended actions to help prepare for a privacy-first future.

Either your organisation is in the insights business or aiming to become more data driven, access and sharing of diverse and good quality data is essential. This comes with a range of challenges (Risks) especially if the underlying data entails confidential or personal information but also presents opportunities. By leveraging PETs, not only organisations can mitigate risks associated with privacy compliance and IP/confidentiality but also position themselves as trusted data collaboration partners while increasing sustainability and resilience of their data driven business. PETs vendors must also consider sustainability factors and be open to co-create creative collaboration models with their customers to revolve issues around pricing, dependability and interoperability.

To successfully roll out a new system in an organisation is it essential to ensure its effectiveness and obtain stakeholder buy-in. To get the internal buy-in and ensure effective integration of PETs with existing infrastructure it is essential that all affected stakeholders are involved at the earliest in the solution design discussions.
